Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
In short: Radix 83 does not collect, share or sell any personal data. It has no internet access, no ads, no analytics and no accounts. Everything you enter stays on your device.
This policy describes how the Radix 83 scientific calculator app for Android ("the app") handles information. The app is developed and published by Martin Dahl ("I", "me").
Information the app collects
None. The app does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send anything off your device. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking code, and it has no user accounts or sign-in.
The app does not request any runtime permissions. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files or any other personal information.
Information stored on your device
So that your work is still there the next time you open it, the app saves the following in its private storage on your device:
- the values of variables A–Z and θ, and the last answer (Ans)
- the history of your calculations
- your mode settings (such as Degree or Radian, and number format)
- your appearance settings (color theme, LCD type, keypad layout and screen resolution)
Other apps cannot read this data, and I never receive it. You can delete it at any time: use the MEM menu (2nd +) in the app to clear variables, history or settings, clear the app's storage in Android's settings, or uninstall the app.
Android backup
If you have turned on backup on your device, Android may include the app's saved data (the items listed above) in your device backup, and restore it when you set up a new device. This backup is handled by Google as part of Android and is stored in your Google account under Google's Privacy Policy. I cannot access it. You can turn backup off in your device's settings.
Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information when you download or update apps, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Google Play gives developers aggregated, anonymous statistics such as install counts, and crash reports if you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google. These reports do not identify you.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from third parties. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs to deliver and protect the site, as described in Vercel's Privacy Policy. If you email me, I use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling information differently, I will update this page and change the effective date above before that version of the app is released.
